3. Battle of Hanover

Come trace the footsteps of the Battle of Hanover in a self-guided walking tour. Eighteen waysides mark the locations where the Confederates invaded Pennsylvania, the scene of repeated cavalry charges, and where General George Custer stopped the Confederate advance. 4. Codorus State Park

Escape the hustle and bustle of downtown and head out to Codorus State Park. Codorus is home to 3,500 acres of pristine park lands, including hiking trails, a campground, and of course, Lake Marburg. Rent a kayak, play disc golf, take a hike, and more, all just minutes away from downtown!

5. Hanover Shoe Farms

Hanover Shoe Farms is the largest horse breeder in the world! Meet their horses on a self-guided tour through the farm. Local tip: plan your trip in the spring if you want to see the foals.

6. Snyder’s of Hanover

Snyder’s of Hanover is home to Hanover’s pretzel baking industry. They offer a free in-house tour for pretzel lovers of all ages. The tour that starts and ends at the factory store, and after watching the manufacturing process, all tour-goers will be treated to a free bag of pretzels. Yum!

7. Beer Scene

8. Hanover Market House

With a wide array of produce, gifts, crafts, meats, and more, the Hanover Market House is a piece of Hanover’s history that you don’t want to miss! Visit the market year-round on Saturdays from 6 a.m.-12 p.m.

9. Eichelberger Performing arts Center

Situated atop the hill on Stock Street, the Eichelberger Performing Arts Center is one of the most historic buildings in Hanover. The Eichelberger has hosted musicians such as Lonestar, Sara Evans, Thompson Square, Phil Vassar, and Pat Boone. Local theatrical arts groups regularly preform at the Eichelberger as well. 10. Golden Mile

Looking for big name stores like TJ Maxx, Target, and Kohl's? Head to the "Golden Mile" in north Hanover, a major shopping area along Eisenhower Drive. We’ve also got home-improvement stores like Lowes and Home Depot, and of course, Walmart.
