Take a Hike

Love the sound of crisp leaves crunching beneath your hiking boots? Get your fix at Codorus State Park!

With 3,500 acres of forests, fields, wetlands, and a lake, Codorus is a one-stop shop for nature lovers of all ages. The park boasts 19 miles of trails full of beautiful fall foliage; trail types include hiking, horseback riding, and mountain biking. As the weather gets cooler, Codorus offers 6.5 miles of trails for skiing and snowmobiling, as well as multiple slopes for sledding and a designated ice-skating area.

Relax with a Fall Brew

There’s nothing like a cold beer on a fall day. Whether you’re going to watch the game, chill by the bonfire, or spend one final day by the pool, Hanover’s many breweries will have a growler waiting for you to fill with your heart’s desire.

Want to hang out somewhere besides your house? Several of our breweries are offering outdoor seating during this time. Check social media pages for individual breweries for availability.

Enjoy Fall Views

Hanover is lucky enough to have a bustling downtown as well as beautiful countryside. Take a Sunday drive through the Pigeon Hills for stunning fall foliage, or make your way out to Long Arm Reservoir for beautiful waterfront views of cornfields and evergreen trees. Codorus State Park is also the perfect spot for leaf peeping!

We highly recommend grabbing a warm fall beverage before you take your drive; keep scrolling for our top suggestions.

Walk a Corn Maze, Pick Pumpkins, and More!

Cornfusion, located in nearby Manchester, Maryland, is a local fall favorite. The farm hosts activities for the whole family, including corn mazes (one for adults and one for kids), a petting zoo, hayrides, pumpkin patches, and so much more.

This year’s theme, "Knights and Dragons" will include lots of medieval fun; so get your suit of amour out of storage and plan your weekend adventure now...no jousting skills required!
