Join us for the vibrant Folk & Flower Arts Festival, a celebration of art, nature, and community!
Festival Features:
Chalk Art Showcase: Watch creativity bloom as talented chalk artists of all ages transform sidewalks into colorful masterpieces.
Plein Air Artists: Experience the beauty of live art as local plein air painters set up their easels around downtown, capturing the essence of Hanover’s charming streetscapes.
Live Music Performances: Enjoy the sounds of the Leister Jazz Quartet filling the air with music, creating a lively and festive atmosphere throughout the day.
Free Seeds for Hanover Residents!
- Thanks to a generous donation from W. Atlee Burpee & Co., Main Street Hanover will be giving away free flower, vegetable, and herb seeds to Hanover residents!
- One packet per person, first-come, first-serve.
- Our goal is to support our community by sharing urban gardening techniques and homegrown food resources. Let’s grow together!
This unique festival begins in the heart of Hanover’s Square and extends throughout downtown, showcasing art, flowers, and local businesses. It’s a perfect day to explore, shop, and support the creative spirit that makes our community thrive.
Chalk Art Showcase Registration:
Chalk Art Showcase Registration & Rules
Registration Fee: $7 per participant
- Standard chalk supplies are included with your registration.
- You’re welcome to bring your own supplies if you prefer.
- Check-in at the Main Street tent located outside Clark’s Bostonian Outlet on the Square to receive your supplies.
- You can show up anytime between 11:00am and 1:00pm to check-in and get your supplies.
Rules & Guidelines:
Keep It Positive – Artwork should be bright, uplifting, and family-friendly.
No Hate or Explicit Content – Any imagery deemed inappropriate, hateful, or explicit will be removed.
Respect Your Space – Please stay within your assigned area and avoid interfering with other artists.
Be Considerate – No blocking walkways or entrances.
All Ages Welcome – Participants of all ages are encouraged to join! Anyone 17 or younger must be accompanied by an adult or guardian.
Have Fun! – Let your creativity shine and help transform the sidewalks into a colorful, inspiring space!
Event Goal: To fill the sidewalks with bright, positive, and uplifting artwork that brings joy to our community.
Weather Policy: In case of bad weather, the chalk art portion will be rescheduled. No refunds will be given for registration.

Hanover Area Artists Guild will also have a story time and kids crafts on 2nd Saturdays from 1pm to 3pm by local authors and illustrators.
Fat Bat Brewing Company will be hosting a vendor pop-up with local artists in their fermenting room from 1pm – 6pm. Enjoy shopping while drinking a beer.
Little Fox Coffee & Books will have storytime with Miss Kelly from 10:30–11:15am.
The Serpent’s Key Shoppe and Sanctuary will host their Pay-What-You-Can Tea Bar with Herbs & Sympathy! Beka and the H&S crew will be serving up the best cups in Hanover—drop what you can in the cauldron, because everyone deserves a hot cup of tea. Every Second Saturday | 10am–6pm

Main Street Hanover’s “2nd Saturdays” program, is designed to boost foot traffic and support small businesses in our downtown area. This initiative also fosters collaboration among downtown businesses, encouraging partnerships and joint ventures that enhance our community’s vibrancy.
